“I find your lack of faith disturbing…”

Gosh. So many things I’ve wanted to document and review. I’m anal. I love learning new things, but I continue to obsess over things if I can’t do it right or make it feel natural. Currently, it’s fucking shrimping out of side control. I seriously prefer being mounted since I can do the Upa pretty decent, but that’s my only move because I can’t shrimp worth shit out of that too and the weird thing is I feel more comfortable mounted than side-mounted. I have to figure this out. Have a strong frame. Don’t be too exposed. Prevent the cross-face and being flattened out. MAKE FUCKING SPACE!!

Steve, when you re-read this, hopefully you are conditioned enough and have the control over your body to shrimp out without trying to exhaust yourself by now.

This has been the one thing on my mind recently. And in today’s lunch class, one of the coaches taught some sweet sweeps from “neon belly” hahaha. That’s what I think of whenever someone says “Knee on Belly”.

Today, I intentionally chose the biggest person in class. Because if I can do it on him, it’s gotta work, right!?!?! I went over it with my son after class to study it. I’m excited to have added some more moves to my repertoire!

Oh! I also got my first no-gi baseball choke sub to work in a roll today. SCORE!

Unfortunately, today closes out my training week and I have to wait until Monday. BOOOO!
