I’m tired. I’ve been going to the academy 5 days a week as well as drilling at home. In addition, running sprints/farklets 9-11 miles a week and lifting. I plan on lowering my weights these next 2 weeks and moderate my pace so my body can recover. The guys at my academy have been extremely helpful. Helping me drill, flow roll, practice escapes, and run through my attack sequences.
Two more weeks. I’m feeling a little nervous. More on not knowing what to expect. I can’t worry about my opponents since I don’t know them, nor am I skilled enough to train around it anyway. I just don’t want to gas out. I’m fine if I get smashed. I’m fine if I get outwitted. I’m fine if I get overpowered. I don’t want to lose because I was too tired.
It’s a short entry today. Much of my focus is on the competition. Oh, I bought a new Venom gi but apparently gray isn’t allowed. That sucks. I like it because it’s really light and feels soft.
Tonight is a rest day. Tomorrow will be a morning run and more training. I’m going to focus on takedowns and offense the next few classes.
